Running With 4 Legs Now

It makes me so sad to have to write this but my big, sweet boy passed away yesterday morning. He started not acting like himself, took him to the vet the day before and they found that he had so much fluid around his heart that they couldn’t even see his heart. They were running tests to see what was going on and put him on lots of meds but by the next morning he had already gone to kitty heaven. We got the results back and they indicated that taking the leg had not stopped the cancer from spreading. In my 30 years and my fathers 55 years we have never once had a cat that even came close to Elvis. I already miss his voice and snuggling with my big chubby boy. Hopefully he is in a better place but I miss him dearly. Thank you to everyone for the support the last few months.

  1. It’s so hard to lose our loves. Wishing you comfort at this tough time. Elvis is a beauty, he’ll always be in your heart. It’s clear he had a life of love.
    I hate cancer so much.

  2. I am so very sorry to hear this, sending big hugs and lots of love. E hit the jackpot when he found you, and you did everything possible to give him the best life.
Don’t forget, he is whole now and running free with all of our Angels, and he will always be with you in your heart and by your side even though you cannot see him anymore.

Sending you hugs and warmth in this time of sadness.

  4. Wasn’t expecting this, not at all. I’m so very, very, very sorry that the one and only Big E Elvis has to head to the Bridge. Our hearts break with yours.

We understand this journey like no others can. And everyone one of us who followed Elvis on this heroic chapter in his earthmlife can tell YOU that NO ONE COULD HAVE DONE MORE FOR HIM! You gave him exquisite care! It al2qys trickled me a little the time and effort you put into keeping his bottom all clean after some …er….poop and pee….hmmm…””challenges”!

I just went back to some of your blog posts I missed. He’s such a handsome boy! I looked the photos of him so content all snuggled on his blankie. Each photo showed a very happy kitty who was completely at peace with his life.❤

I always got a little tickled at the lengths you went to to make him “work” for his food. He seemed to figure them all out pretty quickly. And he certainly seemed to enjoy the EGG😊

We KNOW you are facing some times ahead. The void, the break in routine…all of it hurts and the tears seem like they will never end. We promise you tjat, slowly but surely, all the happy memories will start to help heal yoir heart. We promise.

When you can, please share more abp6jt Big E with us. And with pictures of course! We all feel in love withnthat snuggle bug 💖

    Hugs
Sally and Alumni Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle and Frankie too!
